Galvalume steel identifies cold-rolled steel sheet products coated with a corrosion-resistant aluminum-zinc alloy. Galvalume alloy composition was developed and registered by American company Bethlehem Steel Corporation in 1965 and has proved itself successful in the European, American and Canadian markets.
Aluzinc alloy is composed of Aluminum – 55%, Zinc – 43,4% and Silicon – 1,6%.
Metal with aluzinc coating has the following advantages over common galvanized steel:
- Durability of galvalume steel has up to 6 times longer lifetime compared to common galvanized steel
Galvalume steel has an exceptional corrosion resistance as a result of the combined action of Aluminum and Zinc.
Excellent thermal and light reflectivity – 75%.
- Mechanical resistance of steel coupled with remarkable abrasion resistance. Oxidisation resistance is up to temperature of 315C.
Metal with aluzinc coating is widely used in cold roll forming, producing of roofing and walling materials, manufacturing of structural elements of the vehicles and household appliances.
Thickness 0, 30 – 2,00 mm
Width - 600-1600mm
Aluzinc coating – 60-250g/sqm
